MacRobertson Bridge Walk

The MacRobertson Bridge was built as a scheme to create employment during the Great Depression. It was funded by Sir Macpherson Robertson, who had made a fortune selling MacRobertson chocolates.

Along the walk (in May 2008) we got some good sightings of a range of birds and some dusk shots as the sun set.

$The sun sets beautifully over the Richmond Electricity Substation. The bit of water that you can briefly see from the freeway is called "Burnley Harbour". It's fractionally prettier up close than you might expect if you've only ever glimpsed it from the freeway.$
