Melbourne Zoo November 2006
The Melbourne Zoo has been busy recently: they've opened a new Orang Utang zone and updated many other enclosures. Dennis and I visited the Zoo in November 2006, and I took advantage of my new 70-300mm lens to get real close to the animals.

This young Orang Utan has an impressive pipe swing. It managed to throw its weight about to increase the swing of the pipe it was hanging from until it swung high enough to hop off at a platform near a viewing window.
